The Ausper race car company was founded by Australian Tom Hawkes who made the journey to London, England in 1959 to study racing car design. Joined by a friend they set up a company in London, then known a Performance cars of Australia, but in the 1960's came a name change to "Competition Cars of Australia."
The Ausper T5 Formula Junior Race Car is a rear engine race car built by Competition Cars of Australia in 1963 powered by a Ford 105E engine
