The Auster 4 Aeroplane is an engineering reworked development of the American Taylorcraft cabin monoplane. The Taylorcraft was designed by Gilbert Taylor, an Englishman. The Auster Aircraft Ltd., came into being when the original Taylorcraft license ran out.
