The Japanese Kawasaki Ki 100 Fighter came into being in 1945 in World War II. The Kawasaki Ki 100 was an equal for both the B29 bomber escort fighters. In one air to air combat the Kawasaki Ki 100 fighters shot down and destroyed 14 US Hellcats without a single loss.
