It has been said that the Lotus Elan Turbo SE (Special Edition) Sports cars powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged four cylinder 165bhp engine were probably the finest handling front-wheel drive cars that was available during the early 1990s. The Lotus Elan Turbo SE was introduced to the public in 1989 by General Motors Lotus Elan SE cars was in production for only two years due to monetary problems which forced production of the Lotus Elan SE Turbo project to be abandon.
