McDonnell Douglas Phantom FGR2 an All Weather Jet Fighter. From the 24th to the 26 May 1982 the British McDonnell Douglas Phantom FGR2 was deployed in the battle between Britain and Argentina. Phantom FGR2 Fighter Jets formed a major part of the British RAF's combat aircraft for more than twenty years.
In 1969 the squadron was the first to receive the Phantom FGR2 from RAF Coningsby. At the end of September September 1992 when the Phantom fleet and the last unit disbanded.
