Montague Napier Dagger Aero Engine was a masterpiece and one of the truly great British aero engine in its time. A 24 cylinder air cooled H-type aero engine was not a success. The Napier Dagger engine was only used in the Handley Page  Hereford and Hawker Hector aeroplanes.
