The Napier Sabre III Aero Engine was a 24 cylinder liquid cooled horizontal H-shaped sleeve valve engine, a new type of very powerful piston engine in the mid 30's which entered into service with the RAF in 1939. Sabre III was fitted to the Hawker Typhoon and Tempest V.
