General Motors introduced the Pontiac Firebird Targa in the spring of 1992 with with flowing new contours giving greater all-round visual distinction from any other Pontiac before.  The Pontiac Firebird Targa base model was fitted with a 3.4-litre V6 160bhp engine linked to a 5-speed manual transmission gear change. The slick and slinky looking spaceage type design Pontiac Firebird Targa with the menacing look about it is also fitted with dual airbags and ABS. Released on the open market for sale to the general public in 1993.

Many of you who visits this site may remember  the black 1982 high-tech Pontiac Firebird Trans Am under the disguised name of KITT (acronym for Knight Industries Two Thousand) in the  science fiction television series Knight Rider that ran between 1982 and 1986 starring David Hasselhoff playing the part of Michael Knight. It was the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am who was the real star  with deliveries of cynical one-liners to M Knight
