In drag racing if the car in front has a massive lead the driver will slow down his car before reaching the finish line, allowing prevention of a breakout. If an unusual circumstance arrive where both drivers happens to have break out, the car that is closest to their dial-in wins the race.
What's a dial-in you may well ask? Before each race drivers will have to dial-in their estimated times that they will take to get to the finish line
