Tarom Airlines Boeing 737-38J YR-BGB was delivered to the Tarom Romania Air Transport Airlines company on the 18th October 1993. The Airline company was founded on the 8th August 1945 in a joint venture with Romania - Soviet Union under the name of Transporturi.
Romania purchase the Transporturi company outright in 1954 thus changing the name to Tarom Romania Air Transport
