TVR Marque was founded in 1947 by Trevor Wilkinson who finally left the company in 1962. However, in 1965, Arthur and Martin Lilley a father and son team bought the Grantura Engineering Company and renamed it TVR Engineering and kept the business running for 16 years introducing new innovations in sports car, they even introduced models for their TVR Tuscan at the 1971 Motor show., but even that could not stop the TVR company becoming bankrupt in 1980. Since 1981 Peter Wheeler the man with the golden touch has taken over control of TVR Marque and has made TVR an household name through out the world. |
