The founders of Volvo Motors was an accountant Assar Gabrielsson and an engineer Gustaf Larson in 1924 when they got together in a restaurant to plan on how to construct a Swedish made car. Car shown in picture has the resemblance of an old Chevrolet.
The 1957 Volvo P444 was the first car to be fitted with seat belts. In 1959 Volvo cars were the first cars in the world fitted with three-point seat belts.
